Pregnancy Safety Tips: Plastic Food Packaging and Cosmetics to be avoided

Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists have suggested that women with babies in their wombs should be informed about the materials which may pose high risk to their health. In such recommendations they have advised to keep themselves away from sources of chemicals and should always be in a precautionary state as to play it safe.

At the moment their is no significant proper guidelines for pregnant mothers against the protection and safety use of chemicals.

Being specific they have outlined the cosmetics products should be avoided. Such products include moisturisers, sunscreens, shower gels, perfumes etc. The major concern also included the non-availability of the disclosure of all the harmful items on beauty products.

Fresh food is recommended over the preserved canned food with plastic or tin containers. Only over-the-counter medicines are safe to use for subsiding problematic symptoms.

Experts at RCOG Scientific Advisory Committee discuss the concerns about the already exposed status of pregnant women. While they continue to endanger the new life, there is no any quantitative method to analyse the exposure and risk of development changes to newborn.
